Flower City Ukulele Cruise on the Erie Canal

Join us for the Flower City Ukulele Cruise on the Erie Canal!

Get ready for a fun-filled evening of music and sightseeing aboard the Colonial Belle. Strum along to your favorite tunes, led by the Rochester Ukulele Orchestra, as we cruise down the historic Erie Canal, surrounded by picturesque views.

Whether you're a seasoned ukulele player or just starting out, this event is perfect for music lovers of all skill levels. So grab your ukulele, bring your friends and family, and join us for some fun!

Tickets are $35 + the eventbrite fee ($4.19). Note: Pizza is included with the ticket price! Buy your tickets here.

Meet up at 6:00pm to board at 6:15pm (we will be pulling away from the dock by 6:30pm, so don't be late!) Note: You may be delayed by trains crossing Main St. in Fairport

Place: 400 Packett's Landing (behind the Village Hall), Fairport, NY 14450 Tel. (585) 223-9470

Ample FREE parking is available.

The boat cruises RAIN or SHINE and has a huge open upper deck and enclosed lower deck "just in case." Cash bar available on board and snacks are available to purchase.

The following items are NOT permitted: • Any outside beverages. All beverages (including bottled water) must be purchased through Colonial Belle per our NYS Liquor License requirements. • Any outside food. • Smoking and/or vaping anywhere onboard per US Coastguard regulations

What to Bring:

1. Your Daily Ukulele Books 1 & 2 (if you have them). We will have a few spare copies to borrow.

2. A music stand, if you have one. Binder Clips or clothespins to keep the pages in place if it is windy.

A Day of Creativity (Penfield Rec)

This day-long event is organized and planned by the Daytime Education at Recreation Advisory Committee to raise funds for all the free classes and programs sponsored by Penfield Recreation. Immerse yourself in myriad fun, educational, engaging activities planned throughout the day. Local guest presenters and performers from Artisan Works, The Art Stop, Mid-Century Modern Jazz Quartet, The Rochester Ukulele Orchestra as well as demonstrations, art projects, and interactive presentations. The day ends with the award-winning film My Left Foot. Lunch from the DEAR sandwich counter is included in the fee as well as hard cider tasting provided by Blue Toad Hard Cidery. Lunch includes a choice of sandwich from the menu with a side salad, cookie, chips, and a drink. Attendees can enjoy lunch anytime between 11:00AM and 3:00PM and cider tasting between 12:00 and 2:00PM. This conference-like event will be filled with creative and entertaining programs that you are sure to enjoy. $25, register online here.

We're so happy to returning to one of the favorite events of the summer: cruising the Erie Canal on the Colonial Belle while singing and playing along, led by the Rochester Ukulele Orchestra. These events have always sold out, so buy your ticket asap (and definitely before the July 5th deadline!)

Make Music Day

JOIN US IN CHRIST CHURCH GARDEN FOR A CELEBRATION OF MUSIC (141 East Ave.) 

Open Music Jams will be happening all day from 11 am until 6:30 pm. They are roughly organized by music style but ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND. Bring an instrument to join in or just stop by to enjoy some tunes. See schedule and details below.

DETAILS: Bernunzio's will provide chairs for the event. This is a carry in/carry out event. Parking is available on street (metered) or in the East End Garage (reasonable rates). There is no electrical service available. Restrooms available at Bernunzio Uptown Music across the street. NOTE: Make Music Day does not conflict with Jazz Fest this year so there won't be parking issues or street closures to deal with.
